Mouth Swelling
Many fruits and some
vegetables cause itchy oral swellings.
Chief culprits include apple, banana,
melon, avocado and oranges. Interestingly,
these local swellings are pretty well
limited to those with hay fever. Though a
bit scary, it is not an allergic reaction.
The foodstuffs cause a histamine release
and while bothersome is not anaphylactic.
Eater beware.
